TCS (Tata Consultancy Services)
UI / UX Sr. Designer & Developer
I got an opportunity to work on an internal project at TCS. The
project is iGovern and is designed for upper-level management
like (VP & CEO) to monitor the status and progress of all TCS
projects. Within TCS, there are 20 distinct governance types that
are managed through an application. These primarily focus on
internal audit processes and project management reviews in
various areas including Finance, Banking, Insurance, Retail,
Manufacture, Human Resources, Customer Audits, and CMMI
audits.
Workflows have been created at the corporate, unit, and entity
levels. Users, based on their respective roles, can access project
planning, task allocation, deliverables, timeline management,
resource allocation, and milestone tracking. The primary objectives were to identify customer needs, gather user feedback,
define requirements, provide solutions, and enhance product
quality.
TCS branding guideline was followed and worked on agile methodology. The UX design process was executed, it involves a
sequential series of steps: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype,
Test, and Implementation. I engaged in UX research to assist in
the prioritization of ideas and features, articulate user stories, and
identify pain points related to the functionality and appearance of
the application. I used a mixture of both quantitative and qualitative methods to come to a holistic understanding of the user and
problems to be solved.
This structured approach has helped me ensure a user-centric
design and achieve successful project outcomes.
As a multi-talented designer, I bring a unique blend of skills to the
table. In addition to my expertise in user research, wireframing,
and prototyping, I have a keen eye for visual design and a solid
understanding of front-end development. Converted visual
design screens into HTML & CSS development using Bootstrap UI
framework.
I converted visual design screens into HTML and CSS development using the Bootstrap UI framework. The template layout has
been created, and the code has been standardized to ensure a
responsive design. The final HTML pages were handed over to
the developers. During acceptance testing, I collaborated with the
developers to assist them in fixing any UI defects.
